Ward Girls Camp ~ Final Day!

It's now the final day at girls camp at Diaz Lake. I finally got a good night of sleep with no bugs. Hooray! It seemed to warm up even faster than the previous day and all the shade tents had been taken down and put away so for breakfast I went and ate my breakfast burrito by the teardrop camper where it was slightly cooler and I had some shade.

Ward Girls Camp ~ Day 2

Tuesday was a hiking day so we could get out of the heat for a majority of the day! Woo-hoo! At over 10,000 feet up, this was going to be a much better temperature than at the campsite. I was looking forward to getting outside and moving my body again in a hiking type of way. I brought 2 hiking sticks and shared one with my friend Heather. The road up to the top of the mountain was steep switchbacks. She did a great job managing to get us all up there safely in her sweet ride.

Ward Girls Camp ~ Day 1

It happened. It finally happened. After months of planning, Zoom meetings, changes, adjustments, trying to collect paperwork and figure out rides for everyone - ward girls camp for the 2nd ward and Lone Pine branch happened this past week. I was so so nervous leading up to camp with not knowing what to expect. I've never been to this campground before. I've never ever done a ward girls camp before, only stake. I was nervous about the lack of bathrooms and the heat.

Christmas House in Ridgecrest, CA

Tony & his wife live not too far away from us and do an amazing job decorating their yard as an interactive activity for families during the Christmas season. Keep reading to see some more of the ways they change their yard - it's a lot of work!

Shakey Shakey Earthquakey

4th of July morning started out like most any other morning.
We were at the church at 7am for the program and flag raising ceremony.
Love being able to do this tradition somewhere.

Turning 29 - Again!

Tony woke me up with breakfast on July 10th - hooray!

He made me an owl pancake, eggs, bacon and a side of strawberries.

What's next?!

Street Lockdown

I woke up the morning of March 2nd to a dog barking and barking. So. much. barking. There might be a dog or two in the neighborhood but I rarely hear them bark. This dog however was going on and on that finally I looked out the window to see this. Oh my. A police officer with a dog that had been going crazy, in the driveway of this house across the street where my friend used to live. She and her family moved though so it's been empty for a bit.

Winter Geese

My neighbor Peggy sent me a FB message a couple mornings ago telling me to look outside because there were geese on our street. Holy moly, yes there were! Quite a lot too...

Total Eclipse of the Moon

Captured some of these pictures during the eclipse of the moon at the end of January. It was pretty exciting to be able to see this and capture it.
