A Trip to Idaho

This year for my birthday, Tony's mom got me a ticket to go to Time Out for Women in Boise, Idaho.  I was pretty excited to go because I have not gone since I was 18 at least and living in CA. It's always a great thing to participate in and I felt like it would be good to go again. Tony & I left Friday evening and drove to Nampa to his parents house. Arrived a bit after 1am and I had to be up at 7am because we were leaving the house to pick up 3 other people at 730! I managed to be ready to go just in time and once we arrived in downtown Boise we had seats saved for us so that was really nice to sit where we did.

We ate at Five Guys across the street for lunch but after waiting nearly an hour for our food I did not waste time taking a picture of it because I was so hungry!

We were headed to Tony's parents house for dinner - pizza! with his brother , sister in law and niece.

Did some 'extreme' couponing with Evan and Tony's sister Trishna in the evening at Walmart. More on this in a separate post. I got a total of 90 items. So insane and exhausting.  I'm glad I dont do this every day but I will say couponing in Idaho is WAY better than in Utah!

On Sunday we went to Tony's parents ward for church. I recognize certain families from being there in the past so it's fun to see them and how their kids have grown.

Went to my parents house for a lunch of tacos and Allison  & her husband Trevor came over too.

I got to meet my newest nephew Teagan. My dad is holding him in this picture. 

He slept the entire time, only opening his eyes once in awhile to take a peek at who was holding him.

Mr. Riley

 My sister dropped her little guy Riley off with me a couple weeks ago to babysit while she worked and got some things done. He was pretty sleepy most of the time His eyes would be open and alert just chilling on the bed, swaddled, checking out his surroundings. Then his eyes would start to close. It was so cute!

 For those of you new to my blog, Riley was born Dec 6 2011 but was really supposed to be due early March 2012. He spent 3 months or so in the NICU and just came home this month , a couple weeks ago now I guess. He is doing pretty well and my sister and her husband are adjusting to having him home now. No more daily trips to the hospital which I'm sure is nice for them.

 His little hand wiggled free out of his burrito wrap. haha!

Laura came and fed him after a couple hours and she is burping him here. 

He looks thrilled. 

It's so fun having a nephew here in UT not far from where I live. 

My niece lives in Washington and I usually only get to see her at Thanksgiving. 

Another sister is having a baby in September but she lives in Idaho. 

It's nice to have Riley right here in Utah so I can see him kind of often :)

Baby Riley

In case you havent been keeping up with my Facebook statuses, my sister here in SLC had her baby on Dec 6th at 2:15pm. He weighed 2 lb 1oz. They named him Riley Zane. My sister had no idea she was even in labor but ended up going to the hospital in a lot of pain. She was dilated to a 9 and ended up having to have an emergency C-section.  The full story will be on her blog sometime soon I hope. If it was ME I would have it posted already! The doctors dont know why he came so early but he is doing really well for only being 26-1/2 weeks old! His due date was in March so he will be in the hospital until then or maybe get to come home a couple weeks sooner. Laura got to leave the hospital on Saturday evening but has gone every day so far to visit Riley. 

I wish I could post a picture of him on here but Laura wants to be the first to post pictures online and she is taking her own sweet time! Again, If it was ME I'd have pictures posted last week. Ha!

Anyways, Riley is doing great, can breathe pretty well on his own and is drinking the milk from Laura already even though the nurses were going to wait until he was 32 weeks, they decided to give it a try and he is drinking and digesting it pretty well so this is good! He has really long fingers and legs. They havent measured him officially yet but he looks to be about 12 inches long. He has short dark hair that looks like it will be curly. It is going to be so fun to watch him grow!
