Toy Fest - Las Vegas!

During the ASD show, this Toy Fest show also started and I got to go! Oh my. I enjoyed the Toy Fest a lot more than I thought I would. I really wasn't sure what to expect but we started the day we getting to do crafts. So fun right?!

We got to play with these fun chalk figures. There were these shimmery fairy angels which was a fun set and also another set with trucks and other vehicles to make roads and neat areas for the chalk toys to roam around on after roads are drawn. I thought this was neat - makes the chalk a 2 in 1 toy.

Here is the set of the chalk fairies

Here's the set of cars. You do get the holder for the tube chalks to draw the roads with plus some little street signs!

In this set, the paints were so pretty and had great coverage. If you see this in stores, I'd say to get it! It was a relaxing activity.

Do you remember Wikki Stix? I sure do, I had these as a kid! I had no idea they were still around but yet, they sure are and it was fun to chat with the ladies and create some cool art.

These project kits were great and had something for all ages. Ooly is the brand so just Google that to find which kit you want. The one that is Scratch & Shine may not be out yet, I tried to find it but didn't see it. We tried a variety of different kit pages and got to take some home too. Definitely a good project to keep little ones busy and even bigger kids.

This cool puzzle caught my eye because of the, you guessed it, the owls. You can purchase this puzzle game on Amazon. Here's a link to one of their puzzles.

A painting kit we got to work on a little. So pretty

The water wigglers were hilarious to play with and just wanted to wiggle out of my hands! It was hard to not drop it on the floor. A little challenging but very fun to move around and watch the outside design change.

Saw some cool Monopoly games. There was even a Hello Kitty one. Who knew!

This playdough with mix-ins seemed pretty popular. They also smelled very good! Like, super legit. I got a cherry one to play with later in the room but no mix-ins. Inspired me to think about making something like it but I know this company will dominate since they have worked for quite a long time to get everything perfect. Kudos to them for that!

This owl game - Hoot or Toot - will be coming out soon and it was pretty funny and seemed like it would be fun for young kids to play. Since I'm an owl lover, I will certainly be looking for it in stores.

Obsessed with the stickers on the left! Why? Because they light up!! and the flaming marshmallow one reminded me of s'mores and I could not stop laughing when I saw it said "Hot Girl Summer" because that's exactly how I feel in Ridgecrest in the summer heat.

I love collecting smashed pennies and these holders were awesome! I have never seen these before. The link will get you to some on Amazon but I'd say to Google if you want more specific ones (like the hot air balloon ;-) )

Fun little kids' scooters caught my eye

I think its neat that there were some creative uses for these little blocks.
I would never think to do designs like this.

Or this!

I LOVE these and have for years. I was pretty excited to see there's now one for Christmas ornaments.

Toward the end of the show, I was able to go back to the booth and purchase one. The reps at the booth were so friendly and it was fun to have a hands-on experience.

Fun designs for the Easter egg versions ( I got the one on the left! )

These stem kits were so clever. I did not know there could be so many crafts to do with eggshells. Multiple ideas on this table and I had to document because - owls.

Fun toys...love the mini foosball table!

I thought this tent room setup was cute and there were games galore! I am not a big game person, I'm not sure why. I'd rather be on my phone I guess or out doing things in nature I guess. Depending on the time of year and all that.

You could do this here at the show but it was $60-something and I'm like ehh...pass. It was probably a good price, who knows, I did not look it up. Very cool concept. They gave you the kit to bring home and build.

This rootbeer float game looked interesting but the people at the booth were busy talking to others when I walked by so I just took a quick pic so I wouldn't forget.

The banana peel sign was neat, I have not seen one like that before. So funny & I had to document it.

Tony is intrigued by Snap Circuits so I had to snap a picture of the booth for him.

In another part of the building on a different floor away from the toy show, there was a bunch of hilarious napkins on display and this one made me giggle.

Fun playdough that I will feature later in the post.

We wandered off the main slow floor and up to other floors in the building that was open. I found this really fun letter company and the letters are foam! They have lots of cool color packs and designs.

Type Set Co is the company so feel free to click the link and check them out! They just had a big sale and it might still be going on so check it out if you are interested. I love their colors and design styles.

Now on to what we ate real quick.

We ate at Pampas for dinner and their Brazilian cheese bread - SO YUM. And shhh, I liked it better than Tucanos. It was a bit bigger and so warm and melty with cheese on the inside. Perfection!

Some other fun items I saw walking around in the World Market building we were in

This set was soo pretty!

Loved the look and texture of this yarn

Some fun pictures on the Vegas strip

Back in our room that night we pulled out this fun game that we were given.

You can play with as few as two people but it's better I think if you have more people. I did go home and played it with Tony so I could teach him. I did not expect to win when we played in Vegas that evening. My friend Mark looked like he was sure to win but in a turn of events, it all worked out quite differently. (I WON!) I highly recommend this game and it's one I would love to play more and teach others to play as well.

Here's my affiliate link to purchase it on Amazon ~ What's the Point game

This playdough was wow. The flavors smelled SO GOOD. I can't even. They had tons of scents and all the samples I smelled were so legit.

Here's a link if you want to explore this line more.

There were a few playdough companies at the toy show. Here is another one we found,

I enjoyed playing with this play dough. This brand makes gluten-free playdough - I had NO idea that was even a thing. But had fun squishing my sample around and molding it into different shapes.

Love seeing some sparkles mixed in! Plus it had a pleasant scent to it.

Stay tuned for what we did the next day!
