Taste of Layton on Pioneer Day

I met up with my friend Emily who lives in Layton and we went to the Taste of Layton which was not far from where she lives. I love "Taste of" events and was really excited she wanted to go. Tickets were 12 for $10 and then you could use your tickets at whatever food booth you wanted to "buy" a little sample taste of their food. First we walked around to check everything out and then we stood in line for the food we wanted.

We started out with pulled pork, rolls and free peanuts from Texas Roadhouse

Enjoyed listening to the people performing

People watching

Had to get shaved ice before we left

Orange creamsicle and Tigers Blood. Yes!

So many families sitting on the grass eating their food or on blankets or in chairs. Such a fun family event. I wish Tony had been able to come too but he had to work on Pioneer Day

I "won" a cute panda with velcro arms. So excited!

Emily just texted on her phone the whole time we were hanging out. Haha - just kidding!

All in all it was a really fun chance to get out and try different foods from restaurants in Layton. Thanks so much Emily for hanging out that afternoon!
