Happy Tuesday from Camp Ritchie! The day started off promising and then the weather took a turn for the worse...
The day started off a bit chilly so I put on some layers.
Later in the day, it warmed up a bit so I took the jacket layer off.
After breakfast, I got to start the day off with some rappelling training. One of the youth staff agreed to be "injured" so we could practice using the body board. I had to keep her head still and straight as she was lowered onto the board and that was darn near impossible.
Some carrying practice. We didn't go all the way down to the lake but that would be the plan in case a girl was truly injured.
Next up was some training for youth staff on belaying at the climbing wall. I could practically do this with my eyes closed, ha! So I sat back and watched.
Baby rattlesnakes were around and a few were caught at camp and disposed of, not by me, thank goodness.

In the afternoon the weather started to be not so great...
Clear to stormy in a matter of minutes
Activities in the lodge to get out of the rain
Muddy floors because of wet shoes in the bathroom
Indoor games again. Fun stuff
Then the electricity went out so that made for some excitement.
What a day 2!
What a day 2!
