Camp Ritchie ~ Day 1 ~ 2025

Gotta love this sight, it means you're about halfway into camp I'd say. I stayed the night in Galt with a friend on Monday, picked up a fellow rappelling staff girl on Tuesday morning, July 8th, right on my route and in we drove to camp together. It was nice!

All the different colors of camp shirts depending what cabin you were in. Adult staff got purple. We did not all stay in the same cabin.

George H. was the coursemaster again this year, he's great! We are getting some instruction here with the youth staff while we do inventory

Everyone got the opportunity to climb on the wall if they wanted to. It was quite popular at times.

The "box" on the wall was challenging for sure but a few girls were able to do it and get on top of the box so that meant they got to write their name on the box as a declaration that they conquered it.

The "Jailbreak" area. The girls have to get themselves up and over, without talking, in 2 minutes or less.
It was pretty entertaining to watch.

In the second photo this girl was getting a running start. She tried so many times until she finally was able to grab the hands of the girls above and got up and over.

I was super ready for dinner when 630 rolled around. Spaghetti, sauce, salad , bread and rootbeer floats for dessert. So yum

Campfire time with activities and some skits. Mostly just a nightly skit by the youth staff but later in the week the 3 different cabins of girls each did a skit as well.

My gear for the star gaze. It was so fun to wear this outfit again. I will be wearing it a lot once cooler weather hits.
