Clothing Swap Party!

Last week I held a clothing swap party at my house which is something I had never done before. It was really fun to swap clothes and other items with my friends that came.  Sadly only 2 people showed up but we had so much fun. I'm sorry everyone else missed out! The whole main reason I did this party was because I applied to do it on the Crowdtap website & got approved. They sent me a $10 gift card to use to buy things for the party as well as Woolite samples to give to everyone.

The package from Crowdtap had some instructions, which was a good thing because I wasn't sure what to do exactly. First I had to set my place up like a 'shabby chic boutique'.
Since I'm pretty limited on space I just had to do my best to get creative.

A bunch of clothes on a couch? What couch?

Got some fun decor at Hobby Lobby

Had some yummy treats for everyone to eat which included macaroon cookies from Shirley J, orange creamsicle cupcakes, crackers, cheese, Easter marshmallows, cheese & crackers. I tried to keep it at least half healthy.

This is my Instagram picture from the evening.

Trying on one of Ashley's shirts

Another cute shirt I found from Ashley. She brought some really nice stuff! Not that I am too surprised about that because she always dresses cute when I see her!

(ignore my arm that's bent all funny)

Thanks so much friends for coming, it was such a fun evening & I'm glad we could all come away with some "new" clothes to add to our wardrobes for free. Plus downsizing (?) items that aren't currently being worn is always a nice thing to do once in awhile.

Here's a short Vine video that I took of the evening too if you want to check that out.

Have you ever hosted a clothing swap party before? If so, how did it go?

It looks like fun! It might be cool to get some crazy stuff at the thrift store to mix in with the clothes.

That is a super good idea! I will have to remember that if I ever do that again. Thanks!
