Luminaria Experience at Thanksgiving Point

Heading in to Thanksgiving Point there was a huge light up board that said the tickets for Luminaria were sold out and I worried so hard that we didn't have a chance of seeing the lights after driving about 45 minutes from Kearns to get to Lehi. I had tried to buy tickets online but the link wasn't working or the page just kept refreshing. So odd.

Renaissance Festival - Thanksgiving Point

While Jennifer was in town we got to go to the Renaissance Festival at Thanksgiving Point, about 20 min from where I live. I bought the tickets before she came so it was nice to have this planned.

If you look towards the top left there is a kid on a 'horse' that was set up like a zip line. Pretty funny to watch. They gave the kids some costume stuff to wear and a sword. At the end of the zipline there was something set up that they could hit with their sword. Cute. 

Girls Night Out @ Thanksgiving Point

I promoted an event by the Utah Kids Club on my blog and gave away 2 pairs of tickets as well. In exchange for promoting the event I got a ticket to attend as well so that was very cool! I heard this was the second year this event has happened.  I headed over right when I got off work and met up with my friend Aimee who was already there and then Laura met up with us later. I wish more of my friends had been interested in going. Despite the wind, wait times to do things and the fact I had to leave early, it was really fun. There were many booths set up with vendors selling items geared towards women, free massages, free glitter toes, pedicures and more. It was crazy! It went from 5-10pm and I could have stayed busy the whole time.

I did not take many pictures at all because I was so busy but I did snap a few!

Thanksgiving Point - Tulip Festival!

Recently I found out I won 4 tickets from ArtsyFartsyMama's blog to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. Since I was leaving town on the 25th and the tickets arrived in the mail on the 20th, it didn't give me a lot of time to use them. No worries though because I made it work on Wednesday evening before Tony & I headed out of town.

My Recipe Magic

Six Sisters Stuff is a pretty big blog and they had a launch party for their new website, My Recipe Magic. It was held at Gardner Village which is not far from where I live. I met my friend's Aimee and Lindsay there to learn more about the website & how food bloggers can get involved. I consider myself a food blogger because I have a tab on my blog where I post pictures of my food and reviews on it. I love going new places to eat with Tony.

They had crepes there and they were so so delicious. I piled strawberries, bananas, pudding and whipped cream on mine. You cant even tell there is a crepe under there.

Tulip Festival with my In-Laws

 Tony's parents came out to visit us the last weekend in April. Lucky for all of us we were able to go check out the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi , about 20 min from where we live. We went to lunch at Joy Luck and then enjoyed walking around the gardens to work off all the food we ate :)  It was a tiny bit chilly with a breeze but other than that , the weather was fantastic.

 Light of the World exhibit. An artist from AZ (yay!) is making these. There were a few full size ones (like the one above) of Jesus walking on water and the rest were miniature sizes but eventually will be made life size. Really something impressive to see!
