Nebo Loop Scenic Drive

The last Sunday in September rolled around and I was getting anxious that we had not done this scenic drive yet. Finally had a day with some nice weather so after church and a little bit of lunch, we headed up to the Nebo Loop.  I forgot that I have been up here before and that my car overheats at the top every time. Sad day. Ok, so we have just been up here a couple times now but yea...guess my car doesnt care for the drive. Oh well!

It took about an hour from where we live in SLC to get to Payson, where the scenic byway starts. A bit far to go but Tony was a good sport and went along with it.

Butler Fork Trail

I convinced Tony to go up to the canyon one last time to take pictures. The colors were not as vibrant as the week before but we still got some good shots.

I was just using my cell phone to take pictures and since the sun was going down it was hard to get the lighting right but it's okay.

Neat colors changing here on the leaves

Feet on the trail

The trail is actually 7.5 miles long , moderate hike so we did not go too far up the trail but just for a bit

These trees are my favorite, so pretty

SO pretty up in there!

This patch of bright yellow on the hill across from us looked so cool

Click here to find out more information about this hike

Fun times up in the canyon, cant wait to go again in 2013 when the leaves change color again!

Feeling Like Fall

So I know it looks like winter here in UT now with some snow on the mountains, colder temps and all the pretty fall colors are mostly gone but I came across a bunch of pictures that never made it on to my blog! Terrible. So, enjoy the picture overload!

Little Cottonwood Canyon

On Sunday after church Tony & I rode on his motorcycle up to Little Cottonwood Canyon for one of my favorite traditions <-- I guess doing it 2x in a row makes it a tradition? I could see the leaves starting to change from where we live and heard about it on the news so I did not want to miss my chance to get some great pictures. I just took these all on my camera phone with the Camera360 app and the HDR setting. I really liked how it brought out the colors in the leaves and scenery.
