Pirate Themed Dinner Night

Switching up the Disney-ness a bit by going out for this fun Pirate Dinner Adventure!
We were lucky enough to get a Groupon which saved a bit on the experience.

They suggested getting there a couple hours early for appetizers and hanging out.

I only took a picture of one of the appetizers which was a veggie plate but they also had little slices of bread with half a meatball on it, a bread/cheese/ham bite and fried corn bites. I think that is what it was called. Also, shopping. They had a fun gift shop area with swords, pirate hats, and other themed items.

The stage in the beginning was set up to introduce the pirates and do a pre-show.
We got the purple pirate! He was crazy but fun.

We finally got to go into the main area to sit down and prepare for the real dinner.

Had a great view of the pirate ship too! I don't think there were really any
bad seats in the arena.

Started out with a bowl of tomato soup or salad. I picked the salad. Kind of wished I had gone with the soup though as the salad wasn't great. Too much ice-burg lettuce. Who uses that for salad anymore? It's soo bad for you! Ok, maybe not bad..but there is no nutritional value in it and if I'm going to eat salad, I'd like some nutrition, please. Thanks.

The main dish was a skewer of shrimp, veggies, mashed potatoes, and chicken. They did come around and asked if we wanted more chicken. I gave the shrimp to Shawn. The veggies and potatoes were good. The chicken wasn't great but it wasn't terrible.

In the meantime - the show was happening right in front of our eyes!

It was cool because the purple pirate came and talked to everyone in our section before the show started. He was really a hit with Hailey and Aubrey (esp. Aubrey) when he pulled a gold coin from behind her ear. It was so cute to watch them interact.

Some fun acrobatics to watch

You can barely see it but through the yellow ladder you can see the back of Hailey's skirt. She was picked to go up on stage to participate in the show for a bit. So cool!

The show was fairly entertaining and I think we all enjoyed our time.

The dinner ended with a piece of cake which I did not get a picture of because there was so much going on. Someone also comes around to try & sell you the photo they take of your group against a green screen at the beginning. Just be aware of that if you go. Overall, fun and I may go with Tony sometime in the future but if not, I think the memories will last a lifetime.

But be sure to Google and see if there are any Groupon or other coupon deals available!
