Tony's parents came out to visit us the last weekend in April. Lucky for all of us we were able to go check out the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi , about 20 min from where we live. We went to lunch at Joy Luck and then enjoyed walking around the gardens to work off all the food we ate :) It was a tiny bit chilly with a breeze but other than that , the weather was fantastic.
Check out a ton of pictures I took during our visit. So many photo moments!
neat pattern of colored flowers
cool swirly tree
Short stumpy tree Tony wanted to take for a Christmas tree. LOL
Checkin out the nursery area where you could buy plants and flowers
Tony & his dad
yellow flowers (maybe some kind of tulip) with red stripes. So pretty
My parents would have loved this , I really hope we can take them next year!
Rose Garden with no roses in bloom yet
Looking across the acres from Vista Mound
Light of the World exhibit. An artist from AZ (yay!) is making these. There were a few full size ones (like the one above) of Jesus walking on water and the rest were miniature sizes but eventually will be made life size. Really something impressive to see!
Gathering the chicks. My favorite!
Jesus carrying the cross
carousel of horses. This is something else new and I had not seen it before
Last day of the Tulip Festival and there were a bunch of different groups of kids
performing with dancing and singing
Flowers spilling out of huge pots. So pretty!
Tony and his parents
leaving the Tulip Festival through the children's section and on to our next adventure!
