Out Of Africa

Out of Africa is located in Camp Verde, Az. A couple hours from Mesa. We got there around noon or so and stayed about 5 hours. It's normally pretty expensive to go but for the months of August & September it was 1/2 off admission! So good!

We took SO many pictures of this place but I didn't want to post a ton or bore anyone.

The map of the whole entire park. It was pretty big!

Here we are on the tram ride that took us around part of Out of Africa.

The lady above on the left - her face says it all - it was super hot on the plastic seats when we first got on the tram!

We got to pet and feed a carrot to a giraffe.

So many cute zebras - esp the baby one!

There were parrots, gophers, alligators and, the same friendly giraffe
An ostrich, a camel with one hump and I forgot the name of the other animals in the picture. They are probably the same one.

Of course my favorite were all the cute birds!
They had some sweet shows with some of the animals. The employees would have inflatable pool toys on a long pole and the bears or tigers, whatever was in the area you see above, would chase it and eventually land in the water. It was pretty funny to see. Playtime!

It was really hard to get a picture with this tiger. He kept pacing back and forth.

Thanks to Tony & his $5 which he so generously offered to me, I got to feed a white tiger!

 Goodbye! Cya later!

Overall impressions of the park: There are LOTS of animals to see. Def. worth it to spend the better part of an afternoon there. The people who work there are very friendly and knowledgeable.
Would I go back? Probably not. Only because I'm not sure if they ever change things up and do different things with the animals, but seeing it once was def. a great experience.
