It Was A Dark & Stormy Night

All good stories start out with that title, so I thought mine would too. It wasn't exactly dark and stormy when I flew out of Phoenix on Tues the 23rd of November, but it sure was in Utah! So much in fact that my Southwest flight got delayed THREE times so I had to cancel all the evening plans I'd made (which was pretty disappointing)...so much for getting in to SLC at 8pm!
Entertained myself by people watching and watching a movie on my Netflix. Finally got to SLC about 10pm. Grabbed some food with Tony at Taco Bell and called it a night.
I could see my breath at the airport..so cold and snowy! BRRR

Woke up to this the next day - wintery white wonderland

Picked up the rental car at the airport, got upgraded from an economy and we didnt have to pay for it - thank goodness! Stopped at KRico for some lunch to bring on the road and started the 6 hour drive to Idaho. Left about 12:30, encountered a little bit of slick roads and ice but not too bad. Tony drove the whole way. We stopped in Twin Falls and went to Target to get some more snacks and stopped at Walmart in Meridian and we finally got to my parents house around 7:30/8pm.  Thanksgiving Eve and we made it just in time!
