Tonto National Monument

We stopped at the Tonto National Monument to hike up and get a stamp in our passport book. We weren't able to go all the way up to the ruins because of Africanized killer bees. There was pretty much nobody there, for a day that it was free to go? Maybe they all knew about the bees...

I HAVE been up to the top however, with Chris and Brennen a year or two ago. I totally didnt remember it was the same place though til we got here! Wish I could find that blog post and link you to it..but..its MiA...

Checking out the ruins from down below through the telescope.
We watched a 20 minute video about the area and then
we got to make the lovely 4-1/2 hour drive to Camp Verde where we went to....

OUT OF AFRICA
Check out the next post for that adventure!

That looks like such a fun little hike! And it's more fun with Tony anyway, don't you think?
